1. About us
This website is operated by Octopus Group Limited, trading as Maison Alexa, a company incorporated in Hong Kong (Company No. 80767723; Business Registration Certificate No. 80767723-000-07-26-6), of Unit 2019, Level 20, Infinitus Plaza, 199 Des Voeux Road Central, Central, Hong Kong ("Maison Alexa", "we", "us"). By browsing this website or placing an order, you agree to these Terms together with our Shipping Policy, Exchange & Repair Policy, Personalisation Policy, Warranty & Care and Privacy Policy.
2. Orders and acceptance
You must be at least 18 years old, or have a parent's or guardian's consent, to place an order. Your order is an offer to buy. We accept it, and a contract is formed, when we send you an order confirmation by email or WhatsApp. We may decline or cancel an order before production begins, for example if a price or description is clearly wrong, a design can't be made as specified, or we suspect fraud. In that case we refund any amount you've paid in full.
3. Made to order
Most Maison Alexa pieces are made to order in your chosen metal, colour, size and personalisation. Lead times shown (currently 4–5 weeks, plus 2–3 business days for engraving) are good-faith estimates, not guaranteed dates. Each piece is finished by hand, so small variations in weight, dimensions and finish from the product images and descriptions are normal and are not defects. Our diamonds are laboratory-grown, and we describe metals by fineness (for example 18K / Au750, 14K / Au585, 9K / Au375, PT950).
4. Prices, currency and payment
Prices are shown and charged in Hong Kong dollars (HKD). Prices shown in other currencies are for convenience only. Your bank, card issuer or wallet provider (such as Alipay or WeChat Pay) converts the amount at its own rate and may charge fees. Prices include our gift packaging and exclude shipping (unless stated free), import duties and taxes. Precious-metal prices move, so we may change prices at any time. The price shown at checkout when you place your order is the price you pay. Full payment is due at checkout.
5. Personalisation and engraving approval
You are responsible for the spelling, characters, script (Simplified or Traditional), dates and other details you submit. For Chinese, calligraphy, seal-script and handwriting engraving, we send a digital proof for your approval, and we start production only after you approve it. We engrave exactly what you approve. Errors in approved content are not defects. You confirm that you have the right to use any text, signature, logo or image you send us. We may decline content that is offensive, unlawful, infringes anyone's rights or imitates official seals. You can change your order free of charge until production begins (within 24 hours of ordering, or before you approve your proof).
6. Delivery, risk and title
Delivery is covered by our Shipping Policy. Risk in a piece passes to you on delivery to the address you gave. Ownership passes once we've received full payment. For Mainland China and international orders, the recipient is responsible for any import duties and taxes and for providing information that customs request.
7. Exchanges, repairs and your statutory rights
Because pieces are made to order, we don't offer cash refunds for change of mind. Our Exchange & Repair Policy explains exchanges, store credit, faulty items and repairs, and our Warranty & Care page explains our 2-year manufacturing warranty. Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you have under laws that can't be excluded, including the Sale of Goods Ordinance (Cap. 26) and, where applicable to you, consumer-protection laws in your place of residence.
8. Store credit and gift cards
Store credit and gift cards are issued in HKD, can't be exchanged for cash and are valid for the period stated when issued (store credit: 24 months).
9. Intellectual property
The Maison Alexa name and logo, our designs, product names, photographs, text and all other website content belong to us or our licensors and are protected by intellectual-property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, adapt or use them commercially without our written consent. Buying a piece, including a personalised one, doesn't transfer any rights in its design. You let us use the content you submit for personalisation only to make and deliver your order.
10. Liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that can't be excluded or limited under Hong Kong law (including the Control of Exemption Clauses Ordinance, Cap. 71). Subject to that, our total liability for any order is limited to the price paid for that order. We aren't liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of profit, business or opportunity. We aren't responsible for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control, such as natural disasters, pandemics, government action, customs holds, strikes or courier disruption.
11. Website use
You agree not to misuse this website, interfere with its security or use it for any unlawful purpose. We try to keep information accurate and the website available, but we don't guarantee that it will be error-free or uninterrupted.
12. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. The version on the website when you place your order applies to that order.
13. General
If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. A person who is not a party to these Terms has no right under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Ordinance (Cap. 623) to enforce any of them. If the English and Chinese versions are inconsistent, the English version prevails.
14. Governing law
These Terms and any order are governed by the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. The Hong Kong courts have non-exclusive jurisdiction. This doesn't take away any mandatory protection you have under the laws of your place of residence.
